What is a flash?

A USB drive  also known as a flash drive or keychain drive is a portable storage device that uses flash memory and is lightweight enough to attach to a key chain. When the user plugs the device into the USB port, the  computer's operating system recognizes the device as a removable drive and assigns it a drive letter. Some manufacturers offer additional features such as password protection, and downloadable  drivers that allow the device to be compatible with older systems that do not have USB ports. USB drives are available in capacities ranging up to about 65 (gbs) depending on manufacturer, in a corresponding range of prices.

What is an 8 track?

An 8-track tape is a hard plastic cartridge about the size of an external modem that houses a continuous loop of non-digital  data stored on magnetic tapes. 8-track tapes, which can hold up to 45 minutes of sound. William Powell Lear was   the inventor of the 8-track cartridge tape system. During the early 1960s, a number of shell-encased continuous-loop audiotape systems. Lear's 8-track was by no means the first such system, in fact the   cartridge is in most respects identical to the 4-track tape which came before it. The main mechanical difference between the two systems is that in a 4-track, the pinch roller is part of the player, whereas in an 8-track, the pinch roller is part of the tape cartridge.
